Chenzhou seeks ways to attract youth talent

On April 11, Wang Dudan, a graduate student of Materials Science and Engineering at Central South University, shared her experience at the special talent recruitment activity in Chenzhou City. She expressed her deep gratitude for the attention that the Chenzhou Municipal Committee and Municipal Government paid to young people, and felt honored to contribute to Chenzhou’s development.

Wang Dudan is one of the high-quality professionals introduced to Chenzhou in 2022. She gave up her high-paying job at Sany Heavy Industry and chose to work at the Chenzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce. 
 
“Since I came to work here, the Organization Department of the Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee has taken great care of both my growth at work and my life,” said Wang Dudan, who has learned a lot during her 7 months of work in Chenzhou.
 
In terms of development prospects, a two-year training and practice period has been set, after which one can be promoted to the position of section-level leader in a public institution, and then gradually to the position of section-level leader in a civil service unit.
 
In addition, Chenzhou and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area have established a cooperation mechanism for talent development, and a group of outstanding young cadres from Chenzhou are organized to conduct a three-month intensive training in the Greater Bay Area every year.
 
In terms of living benefits, a monthly rent subsidy of 1,000 yuan is provided to all talent. The amount was increased to 2,000 yuan for those with a master’s degree and 5,000 yuan for those with a doctoral degree from April of this year.
 
At present, Wang Dudan works in the Joint Operations Command of Investment Promotion in Chenzhou City. “In order to enable us to have a more systematic understanding of investment promotion work and strategies, a deadline was set for us to rotate through the four working groups in the command center. Through this process, I have made great progress in business knowledge, work experience, and interpersonal skills,” she said.
